Why won’t God listen to me?
You can't run away from your trials
Imagine you are dealing with an angry customer at work. They rant and they rave at you and inside you can feel the anger boiling up and you know that if they don’t leave soon you will boil completely over and really let them have it!
You can pray that the customer doesn’t return, because you really couldn’t stand another dose of abuse.
Or maybe you take it a step further and realize that your own anger was not how you’re supposed to react as a Christian. You pray, “Oh, please don’t let that customer come back, I really don’t want to get so angry again.” But then what do you know, the very next day that same customer is back to yell at you some more!
Isn’t this the exact opposite of what you prayed for?
